Modified Airbox:
Uses: K&N air filter without foam "Prefilter" installed. Remove baffle in top of the airbox lid.

Adds ~2hp-4hp to full throttle / high rpm.
This kit, at this time (Dec. 10,1998), uses the same pilots and needles as the 1.0 kit, but includes larger main jets and slightly different instructions - so you could make the filter and box mods and purchase additional Factory Pro or Keihin main jets to match.

Ignition Advance

Simply add 4 degrees of ignition advance to your Valkyrie. Perks up the low and midrange power and can improve mileage slightly, if jetted properly.

6 degrees is too much for a Valkyrie, even if it's jetted properly.

Marc, It has been quite some time and weather has just started to cooperate but I have great news. I have been able to make the Valkyrie run real nice!!!
I had removed the top of the air box (some pictures included) and ported out the entire intake system. My final set up is as follows:
 
Pilot jet # 38 (included in the Factory Pro jet kit)
Clip on # 3rd groove (from the top)
Main Jets have an orifice of .072 (thous) not sure what size jet that would be? (160, 182, 185 Keihin or  Factory Pro K series main jet, Marc)
Fuel screws @ 2.5 - 2.75 turns
It runs remarkable and pulls well from 1200 rpm in 5th gear.
The sound and acceleration is quite addictive!! It hits the rev limiter in 1st and  2nd before you know it!
It took me 13 trys to jet this setup. Please feel free to pass this combination along to anyone with confidence!

Located north of San Francisco, east of Napa County, west of Pt. Reyes and Olema and south of Sonoma County, Marin French has produced hand crafted Artisan soft ripened cheese since 1865. Rouge et Noir cheeses are similar to French and European varieties but reflect the characteristics of Northern California, producing it's own regional style.


 

The extension of the laboratory for engines of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed in about 1935. Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940). He had a successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after the advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar to that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in normal use but well preserved.
