Teka  SFI Suzuki Fuel Injection Adjusting Tool

Taking the tuning industry by storm!

Easy to tune the R's and S's with the same unit - Improves low rpm over pc's and stock!
Wider range with fine increments - perfect for late model FI Suzuki motorcycles. Most reliable of all FI fueling tuning tools. 
Teka allows the user to dial in Suzuki fuel injection systems. Adjusts low speed / idle (unlike other units, like power commanders) and also adjusts different ranges of throttle opening, up to and including full throttle - and does it ON THE FLY!
IDLE CIRCUIT: Make changes as bike is running, real time, unlike other FI adjuster boxes - absolutely saving time when adjusting the low speed mixture. Select a cylinder and make it richer or leaner - as the bike is idling. Just like adjusting fuel screws - except you don't get your hands dirty!  Makes idle adjustment a 3 minute joy instead of a 15 minute, vague, aggravation!
RUN CIRCUIT RANGE: Make changes as bike is running - on road or dyno. Teka extends the range, as compared to Yosh/Denso box, from equivalent max. 10 to max. ~20 for those high hp applications and when you need more fuel, like our 2000 model GSX-R750 that thrived on +5 at part throttle, +15 at Mid Throttle, and -2 at Full Throttle. 
RUN CIRCUIT INCREMENTS:
Teka provides smaller throttle position increments, too. 1% to 10%, 11% to 25%,26% to 50%, 51% to 75% and 76% to 100% in proto Teka. Addresses Hayabusa off-idle glitches, where you need to richen up the "very small throttle opening" or just above that to address "hiccups".
Check the fueling on your local Low Inertia 4-Gas EC997 eddy-current dyno, adjust the stock ECU for maximum power, set it and take your Teka Fuel Injection Programmer away with you.  That's good for 1-2 True HP over pc2 on a Hayabusa installation when tested under load on real dyno.

The TL's need help in shifting. Track tests report that 2nd gear had a repeatable ability to pop out into "neutral" under hard acceleration.
Aside from that, the late style TL shift action is very flat feeling and gives very little tactile feedback as to confidence that it's really in gear or not. I hate it when you shift and you can hear the shift mechanism sort of  lazily "kathwaka" into it's final gear location. I like a confident, proper "snick"!
After redesigning and testing and redesigning and testing, and redesigning and testing...... I now see how easy it is to get it wrong, though.
We have a new detent "star" with a copyrighted profile (yep, the "science failed, so, it's artwork - so it's copyrighted) that includes a particular combination of compound arcs and radii that produces a shift action that makes it almost impossible to miss a shift ("almost" is the key word here!), especially 2nd gear. At least, if you miss 2nd, now, you will be REALLY surprised - cause it's now such a rare occurrence.
Downshifting confidence is 100% easier and better, also. Maybe that's just as important as not missing upshifts!
I'm happy with the "star" and couldn't possibly change it for the better and I figure that it will take Suzuki 2 years to copy it!

Drop in a Factory Pro BMC air filter and add 3hp-4hp at high rpm. Really.
The stock FI system recognizes the increased airflow and automatically adds more fuel to compensate. We haven't seen any drivability problems caused by the filter - we can't say the same about other aftermarket filters!
For best results, add +5 L with Yoshimura Fuel Injection Adjustment Box or really dial you bike in with the TEKA SFI (Suzuki FI adjust tool).
Does not work well with power commander.

Denso (ND, Nippon Denso) is the largest OEM supplier for autos and motorcycles of electrical components in the world. Sometimes, people forget that Denso makes pretty darn good spark plugs, too! Wide heat range properties discourage plug fouling at low speed AND overheating at high speed.
We have been using Denso spark plugs in our AMA Supersport bikes since Denso was Nippon Denso and ND. We have found that some standard, <$10, off the shelf, Denso spark plugs work as well as $125 special spark plugs - on a professional roadrace level!

TECH Information:

Thermostat The coolant thermostat controls the minimum coolant temperature.

It doesn't raise the maximum coolant temperature, only the lowest temperature allowed by the thermostat.

The TL's that we've worked with had a running range of ~40f - from 165f-170f cruising down the highway on a cool day to 200f-205f in ~25mph traffic at <3000rpm. At that spread of temperatures, the TL's FI system didn't correct adequately, allowing rich and lean problems to appear and disappear as the coolant temp changed.

There are several solutions if there is are tuning problems caused by excessive coolant temp range.

Replacing the thermostat with a higher minimum temp unit, perhaps 185f. Easy to do.

The water pump doesn't pump much below 3000rpm, so "blipping" the throttle above 3k occasionally when in traffic helps move the coolant through the radiator and lower the temp - decreasing the coolant temperature.

Replacing the ECU (not an add-on box) with a unit that has programmable coolant temp adjustments (like ours).

Save your Rear Cowl Needs a spring on the Cowl Latch cable to increase latching ability. If not available at a dealer, use imagination.
Sidestand Relay The Sidestand Relay, located under the upper RH fairing panel, by the fuse box, should be additionally restrained from exiting its plug. If it becomes unplugged, the ignition system will cease to function until you walk back along the highway, find it, hopefully not destroyed, straighten out the pranged prongs and reinsert it. Yamaha's old idea of a strip of electrical tape would be some lightweight insurance.
Shifting Improvements The Transmission Detent Arm kit from 96-98 GSXR750 contains the correct Micro Bearing Detent Arm, though the spring is not the same. We now have a kit available on special order. SHFT-PRO-SUZ-91
Backfire under Decel (persistent) Air cannot be allowed to enter the exhaust port. If there are ports that bleed air through the head into the port, plug them.
Gear Indicator Resistance So, you heard something about "Big Pink"? As measured on 1998 TL1000R, in-house unit: Gear and indicator resistances as follows:
1st: 567 ohms
2nd: 827 ohms
3rd: 1.5k ohms
4th: 2.7k ohms
5th: 6.81k ohms
6th: 14.97k ohms
(urban legend says a 15k resister is 5th gear - it's NOT!!)
If you want to fool the ECU into thinking it's in one gear or another, you could jump a resistor across the 2 wires on the main harness that would normally go to the gear indicator unit at the end of the shift drum.
As an example. If you wanted to trick the ECU into thinking that the bike was in, say 4th gear, you would place a 2.7k ohm between the appropriate wires. Don't call us and ask any more about it - it's up to you to use this information as based on facts, rumor, intuition, wishes and desires......
Also, the resistance values seem to be identical to the 98-99 GSXR750 - and the 00-02 gsxr750 and the gsxr1000's....

The extension of the laboratory for engines of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed in about 1935. Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940). He had a successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after the advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar to that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in normal use but well preserved.
